There’s a lot of smaller, interesting elements in this issue. I enjoy seeing Johnny Blaze working for Mephisto. In fact, I love the fact that Johnny Blaze is still the main character of this book even though he is no longer the Ghost Rider.
A different host for the Rider means different abilities, and we get to see a bit of that in this issue. The idea of what the spirit of vengeance is and what it can do becomes a bit bigger here, and makes the character a bit more interesting. Even though Johnny Blaze will “never become the Ghost Rider again,” it will be interesting to see if he tries out the abilities he witnessed once he gets the power again.
