Noticeably, Marvel’s best contribution to 9/11 projects, “A Moment Silence,” contains no superheroes. It consists four short stories without words that among most moving all benefit comix. Three of four true-life stories, like one about Tony Savas, building inspector stationed at World Trade Center who receives touching tribute he marches, blueprints hand, into doomed building. Mark Bagley’s “house style” artwork, normally associated superheroes, gives piece subtle rhetorical flourish.
